Minister Musasizi Cautions Rubanda Residents Against Political Violence.

As the electoral season draws near, State Minister for Finance in charge of General Duties, Henry Ariganyira Musasizi, has called on the residents of Rubanda district to refrain from political violence.

Speaking during a graduation and fundraising event at Rubanda Technical Institute, Musasizi emphasized the importance of peaceful political participation and cautioned against any attempts to coerce others into political decisions.

Minister Musasizi has cautioned residents of Rubanda district against engaging in acts of violence as the electoral season approaches.

He emphasized that the public has the right to make political choices that align with their interests, but no one should be coerced into making decisions against their will.

Musasizi recalled that during the 2021 general elections, incidents of violence were witnessed in the area, with some individuals harassing others due to political differences. He, however, warned that such practices will not be tolerated this time.

The minister also urged students to make career choices that are relevant to the evolving world to help tackle the growing unemployment rate in the country.

The event's chief guest, Jackline Katabazi, who represented Col. Emmy Katabazi, the Deputy Director of the Internal Security Organization (ISO), stressed that technical education is vital as it equips the youth with self-sustaining skills.

Rev. Fr. Isaac Turinawe also graced the event.

A total of 250 people graduated with qualifications in various technical and vocational studies disciplines.
