Minimize the Risk of ASC workflow delays.

More routine orthopedic and spine cases are performed more commonly now in an outpatient (ASC) facility. Device manufacturers are reacting to increasing requests for the availability of more instrument sets to support surgery schedules. Workflow stoppages due to a missing or nonsterile key instrument (e.g., screwdrivers, depth gage, and drills (cannulated and solid) cause delays and potentially result in an SSI if the device is not correctly sterile processed. The availability of these critical instruments in a sterile packed solution needs consideration. The photo depicts a few of the devices available for sterile packing.
