A Mini Sci-fi Novel: Bloodline

Year 2048. Hundreds of FBI agents have circled an abandoned house in Iceland. Inside is the last running ETH node in the world.?

After years of wiping out all what the gov calls "bloodlines for illegal money", this is the last flickering light for what was once the most trusted money for the world's poor and deprived.?

"Go!" The president gives the order in the situation room, staring into a giant screen.?

Red laser lights danced around the floor and the walls. The house is empty. No computers. Only a young man is sitting in a corner playing games on his phone.?

He looked up. Red laser dots covered his whole face. He smiled, like a boy.

"Search him!" Commander ordered.?

An agent scanned his body using an X-ray-like machine.?

"The node is running...running...in...his...heart, sir!"?

The president rolled his eyes.

Computers have become so tiny that it's easy to run a node anywhere as anything. But to run it as a heart bridge is...not done often.?

The president waved his fingers around his neck. The commander nodded. In total silence, the young man's innocent smile suddenly froze.?

Such tiny nodes have to be destroyed physically. There is no other choice.?

A farmer in Algeria suddenly found he couldn't pay for his seeds. Gamers keep refreshing, but their assets can't be transferred. The bloodline for the world's internet money came to a complete halt.

Three days later. After a 10-minute long standing ovation, the president starts delivering a speech at the World Alliance on how illegal money was eliminated under his leadership.?

Strangely, the president began to sweat, appeared awkward, and rushed the speech in just 5 minutes.

Commander led the president to the big screen.?

It's an aerial view of New York City. There are a few red dots moving in Time Square. As the view zooms out, more red dots appear.?When the screen shows the entire earth, the red dots form lines, triangles, and a giant interconnected red web.

"Sir. the ETH network is back on. All the red dots represent one person with an ETH node running...in their heart."?

"We are still trying to figure out what happened..."

Boom. "NO!" The president smashed the glass screen and screamed.?

The young man had programmed for the cease of his heart node to trigger the opening of a secret vault deep in the frozen earth under that abandoned house in Iceland. Anyone can go to the vault and take a pill to install an ETH node in their heart. In just 3 days, millions of people have done so.

In every corner of the earth, farmers, gamers, and workers found that their money system is working again. And there is a smile on their face.
