I have been covering a number of car photography shoots for Mini magazine, this covers the classic cars up until 1996 prior to the modern version being introduced.
Owner Sean Blackwell is working on a classic Mini, his a few years down the line now and as well as getting parts for the car he has also fabricated some of the mods himself. Comes in handy that he works on the trains at the Romney & Hythe railway so he has an understanding of engineering and mechanics.
The photography is for a monthly feature called "On the Job" showing a project that is taking place, the requirements for the shoot were a variety of images of Sean working on the car and showing the intricate details of the project. The cars body shell is in place and with the addition of a carbon fibre bonnet and the Corbeau seats the completed car will look stunning, the intention is to have the car ready at the end of 2021 and then use it mainly for track days.
