Mine Planning Manager

Our client, a leading gold mining corporation with operations across Africa, is seeking an experienced Mine Planning Manager to join a high-performance management team at an expansion-focused operation in Africa. The Mine Planning Manager will oversee underground technical services departments across mine engineering, survey and geotechnical areas.?

Key responsibilities include:

• Ensure rigorous, high-quality, commercially-optimised mine plans are always available on time for weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual (including Life Of Mine) planning cycles;
• Develop and implement high-performance-driven technical systems and procedures to support underground mining operations;
• Provid technical support and guidance to the management team on all aspects of underground mining;
• Oversee sound execution of design and production cycles to optimise site operations;
• Oversee the collection and analysis of geotechnical data to support mine design and planning;
• Manage and mentor the technical services team to ensure high levels of performance and professional development;
• Ensure all underground mining activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.??

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field;
• A minimum of 15 years of experience within underground mechanised mining surroundings;
• Advanced knowledge and experience with a variety of UG Stoping mining methods;
• Advanced experience in short to long-term mine planning, cost estimation/budgeting, production engineering and infrastructure design;?
• Experience managing technical services team/s in an underground mining environment;
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Candidates who do not have prior expatriate experience will be considered for the role. The company will offer a competitive USD salary package, including a lucrative bonus.?
