"Can't wait for the baby to be born in July. ??"
When I posted this as my Facebook status, I have got 166 likes and 123 comments in 1 day. Out of them, only one was very specific that I must be talking about some kind of accomplishment, and remaining all were either from the place of confusion, misreading, misunderstanding, or social expectations.
The next step was the post below on the very following day with the cover picture of my upcoming book, Mindspeed.
"So...I thought it's better to show you the ultrasound picture of the baby before :P :) Below 1% of my lovely connection could Think Beyond social expectations - and this is where we need a massive mental readiness (Y) Thank you so much for inspiring me, love and regards."
Even after saying this, it was interesting to receive the DMs that congratulating me for both expecting the baby and the book! :)
And this left me with a thought about how we are seen and said by others - which is nothing but a reflection of their own thoughts.
I passed a big chunk of my life, both personally and professionally, with people who’ve been in or out with full of misreadings, misunderstandings, and miscommunications. Through the journey of life, yes, I moved on with some u-turns and detours, but the experience that they left behind come along with me. I would not be bothered to talk about this if that did not influence us.
These experiences do have subconscious influence over our mind, and from then everything we decide, feel, or do are auto filtered by these past experiences. We build biases, expectations, perceptions, and meaning based on that. Our mind is programmed based on that which are often reflected by our behavior, languages, and responses. We start to doubt our self-esteem, believes, core confidence, passions, and commitments, which has a ripple effect both in our companies and in our relationships.
And staying in this place is even harder when we want to come out but sure how.
Yes, not knowing how to come out of this place is the most painful thing that we can ever experience. It is the place of confusion, overthinking, exhaustion, indecision, excuses, negative emotions, and negative self-talk. It is the place where we are always worried about what others will say or do. Which is like, we are not allowed to do anything but our parent's expectation, partner's expectation, social expectation, boss's expectation.
But it does not mean we do not want to feel better, we are not ambitious, or we do not want to try again to come out of that place. Most commonly, it is about not knowing how to do that, where to start.
I have no shame to say, this is the place where I worked on me, and now over the past five years, I have been working with people around the globe, both working for companies or running own businesses around these spaces—helping them to see the light on the other end of the tunnel. To have a more significant meaning in their life and making work meaningful, which reprograms their mind to create a ripple both in their personal life and in the company growth. Moreover, they become more agile and resilient to walk the unknown path in adversity by designing a new path that reaches to their ambition. And this is the meaning of my life and my being.
So... I dedicate the book to those ambitious leaders who never stopped rediscovering themselves and took the courage to drive them through tears, blood, and sweat-filled roads for meaningful success.
With love and regards,
Ayesha

4 年Beautiful project and work. I like the word "mind speed" the speed of our mind and how fast intentionally we want to get things will determine how far we can go ahead with our dream.
