Nobody ever taught me the importance of a positive mindset in my-
--15 years of schooling
--3 years of Graduation
--2 years of Post graduation and
--4 years of Doctoral Studies
My teacher asked me to be the topper of the Class,
?But nobody ever taught me the mindset required to be a Topper and how to handle the feeling of shame if I don't do well in my exams.
My teacher asked me to be a successful person in life,
But nobody ever taught me the mindset required to handle failure and those scary apprehensions about an unsuccessful future.
My teacher taught me hard skills,
But nobody ever taught me the soft skills and the mindset required to perform well in the interview.
My teacher asked me to give the best presentation in front of the audience,
But nobody taught me the mindset required to be an effective presenter and to handle those shaky legs and negative thoughts when I was pretty much bashed up in my first encounter with public speaking.
My teacher asked me to have strong communication skills,
But nobody taught me the mindset required to be a strong communicator and to handle that stammering voice when I was fumbling to express my ideas and my heart was pounding as if it was crunching some stones.
Nobody, in my school/college ever taught me the importance of having a positive mindest to help me gather confidence when I was facing my own challenges to success.
I learned this Mindset Game:-
??in my own chaotic ways,
??had my own share of multiple failures and
??took insane amount of time to overcome my limiting beliefs.
To my favourite YoungGen,
1?? Do not forget the importance of soft skills and a positive mindset to achieve a happy and successful life while you run the race of upscaling your hard skills (university syllabus).
2?? Do not succumb to a fixed mindset and never let the problem go so deeper that it takes dallops of your emotional energy to get eradicated later in life. (Remember, every problem has a learning experience).
3?? Do not let any negative thoughts crush your career (may be a first KT or a first break up).
A positive mindset can anytime be developed through conscious efforts and practice.
Do try, it's Free of cost!

4 年I totally agree with your views on positive mindset. Everyone has difficulties in their life and how to deal with them just depends on their own mindset. History has seen many people fall and rise to great heights only because they chose to believe in their mindset. So I believe that everyone should develop a positive mindset and why not to start teaching them from a young age by their parents and teachers. Thank you for teaching that to us

4 年Beautifully articulated! My note: We too inherited challenges which we overcame and found our way ahead. This generation too is going to find solutions, they have us as guides and coaches. Silently communicating to them that we are there for you!
