#33 Mindset Shifts for Personal and Professional Growth

#33 Mindset Shifts for Personal and Professional Growth

Let me share the five key mindset shifts that i have been reading and implementing and it truly makes a difference.

1.Belief + Potential + Consistency Is a Powerful Combination:

  • Identify Negative Beliefs: These are ingrained thought patterns, often formed in childhood. For instance, like many Indians, we always here this from or family members “money doesn’t grow on trees” or “wanting to earn more is greedy.” It’s challenging to attract wealth when you associate it with negativity.
  • Challenge and Change These Beliefs: Doing How to be money workbook by Gary Douglas and Reading "Unlimited Power" by Tony Robbins helped me recognize and address these negative thought patterns, and now i believe that money is an energy and money comes to you with your creativity, awareness and it is a by product of what you give to the world.

2. Trading Time for Money Doesn’t Make Sense: For example you are a "recruiter" you spend eight hours a day sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and coordinating with hiring managers. On a particularly productive day, you successfully fill a critical role by noon. However, you're still required to stay logged in for the remaining hours, filling your time with administrative tasks or minor follow-ups.

Now, consider a freelance recruiter who works on a commission basis. She fills the same role in half the time, gets paid based on the hire, and spends the rest of her day networking or upskilling. She’s not tied to the clock but to the value she delivers, demonstrating that trading time for money doesn’t make sense when outcomes matter more than hours worked.

3. Use Your Strengths to Serve Others: Some may see the younger generation's desire to make an impact as over-enthusiasm, but what's wrong with wanting to feel purposeful in your work? Data crunching in Excel or making PowerPoints doesn’t feel impactful to everyone. We’re not all meant to do the same tasks because we each have unique strengths. For me, focusing solely on making money goes against my beliefs; however, directing my skills towards helping others and solving problems keeps me aligned and fulfilled.

4/ Nobody is living a Normal Life: Icons like Tony Robbins, Ratan Tata, Oprah Winfrey, and Sara Blakely don’t live conventional lives or work typical jobs. They have all worked tirelessly, dreamed big, faced setbacks, and consistently pursued their visions despite the odds. Achieving this level of success often requires deep mental rewiring and resilience. Its always about working with your mind and pushing it to the next level no matter what.
