Today we look at #Your‘Best’…
…weighing #CurrentBest and #PotentialBest.
Current best makes you go: “I did my best. There is nothing more.”
Imagine the results: All your options exhausted, all your energy spent, you throw in the towel, assuming nothing more can be done. An unforgiving audience, a rigged game, you blame the world for your results, without considering the reality that instead, it could be that your current skills are below standards, your expectations of progress too lofty. But the battle is not yet lost, for it is only so when you choose it to be.
Potential best makes you go: “How can I do better than my current best?”
Imagine the results: Seeing gaps you can fill and improvements you can make, you try new ways towards growing out of your shell, into a new form once deemed as impossible. You realise that the only one holding you back is yourself, and through curiosity and courage, you redefine the norm with results others never dared dream of.
Simple thoughts like these can create a world of difference, a different timeline.?
I used to eagerly take on assessments, thinking that my current level of skillsets or natural talents were sufficient for success. When undesirable results came in, I would judge myself in haste as a victim or a failure, realising later that I had biased expectations of myself from the very start.

Performing beyond average and setting novel standards; this is one of many mindsets that build generations of geniuses.?
