Mindset - Rules of Engagement
I will be speaking to the TechVets community https://techvets.co/ in May about a couple of key mental programmes I run in my own life every day, they are very effective for me personally and are used by many successful people, elite teams and companies globally to great effect. These are concepts that are being expanded to my own team as we develop and scale Positive Transformation. These form part of my wider Mindset focused on "Everything is the Opportunity" - NO Excuses.
We all really need to enjoy our lives, who we give our time to, who we work with, what we tolerate from others, and what we work on. We must be value-driven, with an eye on commercial realities but not target or money-driven. This is fundamental, always, with no exceptions. If it doesn’t feel right, we just don’t do it. Ever. Regardless of who or what it is, the money or the circumstances.
I love and embrace change, nothing gets me fired up and ready to move forward than a good dose of chaos and uncertainty. I know that doesn’t seem like fun to many but I love it and these are effective tools I have embraced to create instantly accessible rules of engagement in any situation.
I hope these are as helpful to you as they are to me.
The?OODA loop?concept. - Rapid action, change, and development at all times that gives great perspective as you go. The?OODA loop (Observe, Orient, Decide, Act) is a four-step approach to decision-making that focuses on filtering available information, putting it in context, and quickly making the most appropriate decision while also understanding that changes can be made as more data becomes available. Great for accessing perspectives and other people's shoes.
