MINDSET

2021 is testing and in fact it is looking to be even more testing then first anticipated. I have never felt more motivated and resilient – the last 6 months I have been doing a lot of internal work and focusing on me so here are my Top 10 Tips that might help you too - none of it is rocket science:

1.   Plan your week – if you are reactive and get triggered and stressed and turn to food/booze etc then – PROJECT MANAGE your week like you would your business. You will become proactive instead of reactive, help make better decisions and control your emotions.

2.   Get a coach – there are areas that you want to upgrade your own standards, being accountable to some will keep you focused all year round. I have recently hired a business coach and I am looking to change the game in the fitness industry.

3.   Discipline not motivation – motivation comes and goes, but you will become more motivated from seeing results – results come from being consistent and trusting the process.

4.   Track energy levels and mood – when your energy is buzzing and mood is great, keep track of the foods you ate, the sleep you got and how things are at home and in your business – DO MORE OF IT!!!

5.   SLEEP – I always talk about it – so important, neglecting sleep can lead to mental fatigue, poor performance in work and at home and lead to levels of stress and anxiety.

6.   Get a journal – your mindset cant but improve when your work on it, self reflect on your wins, mission and goals.

7.   Surround yourself with winners – people who you have values you aspire too. I love the statement “You’re not the average of the FIVE people you surround with. It’s way bigger than that. You’re the average of all the people who surround you". So take a look around and make sure you’re in the right crew.

8.   Honest – BE honest with yourself – if you make excuses and blame others for how you feel, for how you eat, for how you perform in your business, you are just letting yourself down. Only you can control how you talk to yourself.

9.   Exercise daily – doesn’t have to be bonkers, but a walk even when you don’t want to. If you are fit, it will keep your mind sharp.

10. Gratitude – practice it more, actually say thank you for all you have.


Don’t half heart a goal that truly means something to you in 2021

Great list. Like you say, none of it is rocket science. “Discipline > Motivation” is the key one for me personally there. Motivation comes and goes like you say. Just got to do it on the days you don’t want to.
