Mindset, a lead nurturing strategy and a solid way of tracking conversion: the 3 must-haves of lead generation.

When brands come to me, I can identify in an initial conversation between the brands that will succeed with their lead generation program and which will not.?

Here are the differences that may help you get on the right track or stay the course! ?

The brands who will be successful with their lead generation program know this:?

  1. The initial response rate on leads is 26% ?
  2. The conversion rate is 1-2% ?
  3. The lead's individual price is less important than the overall investment to get to a converting lead.?
  4. They have a lead nurturing program in place.?
  5. They have a CRM so that they can utilize the system for nurturing and conversion.?
  6. Willing to commit to getting enough leads to make that sale.?

Brands that will struggle with their lead generation program or refuse to do it & believe this...

  1. Don't believe the lead generation and conversion stats, and feel they should be higher if you pay for leads.?
  2. Every lead should be a sale.?
  3. Their brand is the best; no changes are needed for their marketing or sales materials.?
  4. The sales presentation is good enough.?
  5. They don't want to take the time to use other sources of communication when they get contact info.?ie. looking people up on LinkedIn.?
  6. Focus solely on the individual price, not the investment that produces conversion.?
  7. Don't have a CRM.?
  8. Have no lead nurturing strategy. ?

Experience has shown me that often just a lead nurturing strategy for brands with that type of mindset will yield results!? When the mindset changes, momentum builds, excitement ignites and changes to the marketing and sales strategy become more interesting and a must-do, and the sales start to come.?

I hate to watch brands push away a viable source of leads because of a false mindset, no lead nurturing strategy or CRM.??I know it works because of the hundreds of brands listed on our websites in Canada & the US!
