Mindset Is Everything

I know you've heard it repeatedly; mindset is everything, but it's the truth. Your words create your world. Everything starts as a thought before it's manifested into reality. This is why it's essential to get your mindset right.
I frequently hear people around me saying negative things about themselves- "I'm fat," "I'll never get a high-paying job that doesn't drain me," "I'll never be able to accomplish that goal," and the list goes on. I see these as excuses caused by the limiting beliefs we put on ourselves due to our conditioning; this can be your environment, the people you hang with, your parents, etc.
I wasn't always as optimistic as I am now. I wasn't always as confident as I am now, but my mindset allowed me to get to where I am today. But, of course, this isn't a one-and-done thing; you must continue feeding your mindset. It's like watering a plant. You need to water it consistently and provide love for it to watch it grow. Below are three tips for improving your mindset if you are stuck in a rut.
Identify Your Limiting Beliefs
What is it that is holding you back? What were you told as a child that you still believe? Would you tell your younger siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews the harmful things you tell yourself? What has allowed this limiting belief to continue thriving this long in your ecosystem? How have you been watering that belief? Answer these questions as a journal prompt and reflect on what these limiting beliefs have cost you.

Start Feeding Yourself As You Would A Baby
What I mean by this is that when you think about feeding a baby, you want to give them the highest quality of food to ensure they grow up healthy. Treat yourself as such. Feed yourself healthy foods that won't disrupt your gut and brain connection, and feed yourself with books, audiobooks, podcasts, and videos. Be conscious of what you engage in because this affects your mindset.
After graduating from college, I had to adjust my routine and what I was doing because it wouldn't suffice for the life I wanted to create for myself post-grad. I had to start changing my mindset around who I was and developing the mindset of the woman I wanted to become. This looked like attending networking events, limiting my television intake, adjusting my diet, going to the gym to build my confidence, reading books as I was writing my first book, and much more.
Do Your Affirmations
I know it can seem a bit odd in the beginning, but I promise you that affirmations are life-changing. I've been doing affirmation work for about a year but more consistently since the start of 2022. I've seen massive improvements in my thinking and the speed of my manifestations. Your words create your world. Whatever you speak out into the universe will be heard loud and clear, so again, if you wouldn't say it to a younger family member or even a friend of yours, why would you tell yourself that harmful garbage?
I hope this newsletter helps you reflect on your mindset. May you give yourself the grace you extend to others.
