Is Mindset an Asset?

What a funny statement? Is mindset an asset? What do you think though?

Many times, we equate asset to anything that is tangible. For instance, money, infrastructure and many others that could liquidate to cash.

I would rather challenge this traditional belief and interpretation of asset to a context that is innate in all essence.

Mindset is simply the collection of your beliefs and perceptions about something. Mindset sits on the body of knowledge and experiences you acquired in life. The perception in which the world appear to you is essentially shaped by your mindset. Mindset is an asset essentially.

I called it an asset in its soft stage. An asset in making. The quality of mindset translates to the quality of life.

Many times, people are recruited by the tangible traits that are already evident on the paper. You would find the chance to secure a job based on the level of skills and experiences you possess. How does mindset come into picture to secure you the right job?

The value is not seen or manifested unless you are given the chance to showcase the value. The recruitment process doesn't necessarily gaze the mindset you possess. The paper asset may not necessarily measure the potential asset in your mind. Mindset does all the heavy lifting. The right mindset in essence is the asset.

If you are not seeing the value of a right mindset, the game has to be played differently now. Build your mindset, work on your mindset, the more effort we on our mindset, the more value we adding to ourselves. The asset appreciates in value over time. Patience and discipline are asset (mindset) building mechanisms.

The organization may not see the real value you possess as it's an asset in making.
