The third event in The Boston Foundation series, “Minding the Gap: Community Wealth,” will explore the history of community wealth building strategies and the role they play in addressing the racial wealth gap.?
Historically disadvantaged communities have been underserved by financial institutions or controlled by urban renewal plans – often leading to resident hardship or displacement. Community wealth building includes efforts to increase local economic power and autonomy, provide alternative wealth building opportunities, and promote neighborhood stability and resiliency.?
