A Breather: Curated Mindfulness Resources For You

Hey there,

Every now and then, it's essential to pause, take a step back, and assess. This week, rather than delivering my regular newsletter content, I thought of sharing something a bit different, something to nourish your mindfulness journey even further.

I've curated a list of resources, books, movies, and websites—all centered around mindfulness. So why not take this opportunity to deepen your understanding and practice?

1. "The Miracle of Mindfulness" by Thich Nhat Hanh

- A classic manual on meditation, mindfulness, and the art of living.

2. "Wherever You Go, There You Are" by Jon Kabat-Zinn

- A beginner's guide to the principles of mindfulness, breaking it down in an easily digestible format.

3. "Radical Acceptance" by Tara Brach

- A transformative exploration of the importance of self-acceptance in the journey to mindfulness.

4. "Mindfulness in Plain English" by Bhante Henepola Gunaratana

- An insightful guide to meditation and the essence of mindfulness, making complex concepts accessible to everyone.

Movies:

1. "Walk With Me"

- A cinematic journey into the world of mindfulness and the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh.

2. "Innsaei – The Power of Intuition"

- A dive into the ancient Icelandic word 'Innsaei,' offering a fresh perspective on mindfulness in modern times.

3. "A Mindful Choice"

- Two modern-day monks meet a diverse range of people making the choice for a better life through meditation. Their journey showcases the empowering transformation that mindfulness can bring.

Websites:

1. Mindful.org

- A comprehensive resource offering advice, courses, and articles about the modern practice of mindfulness.

2. The Mindfulness Project [London-based]

- A platform for courses, workshops, and online resources to grow your mindfulness practice.

3. Sounds True

- Publishing company offering a variety of mindfulness-based courses, webinars, and audio teachings.

And of course, don't our podcast :) Men Talking Mindfulness !

Taking a breather this week gives time to refresh, recharge, and provide better content for you in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, I hope these resources serve you well. Dive deep, discover, and allow yourself to be enriched by these pearls of wisdom.

Train Hard, Breathe Easy,

Jon

P.S. Remember, just as in mindfulness, the journey into these resources is as important as any destination or endpoint. Enjoy the JOURNEY!

Yes! All of these powerful thought leaders are bringing the awareness we need to radically transform our lives by focusing on our inner world. When we stop being reactive to outside circumstances and can be in flow, we have the space to redirect our thoughts and become creators rather than spectators. I look forward to your newsletter.

Thanks for sharing these mindfulness resources, Jon. Taking a breather and focusing on mindfulness is always a good idea. Do you have a personal favorite book or movie from this list that you'd recommend for someone new to mindfulness?
