It is June ya’ll! This means more sunlight which equals more energy. Most importantly it’s another chance for a fresh start…

It was a dark winter literally and figuratively. With so much heaviness around us all, it oftentimes is SO hard to focus on our emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. We are human with so many obligations. The key is to not neglect ourselves as a whole and come back to do the work, or in some cases start the work. According to neuroscience experts the most important skill to learn as humans, is emotional regulation. This skill impacts us as a whole and helps us lead healthy and content lives.

You ask, “how do I regulate?” It starts with awareness which requires us to be mindful of every thought and action. You can refer back to my May Newsletter for more deets.

This is why I am so passionate about the work I do and focusing on mindfulness, because it is life changing and I want you to take back your power and lead a content life. ?Here are a few habits to build, to help you make the most of your days this summer.

?1.???? Always start your day with a spiritual practice, whatever that looks like for you. I start with praying and reading a few pages from the Quran. This helps create abundance in our time and contentment in the heart.

?2.???? Write down or reflect for a few moments on the goodness in your life, aka practice gratitude. Research shows the positive impact on our wellbeing as a whole.

?3.???? Move your body intentionally 20-30 mins a day, 5 times a week.

?4.???? Pay attention to who you surround yourself with virtually or IRL. Make sure they are aligned with your core values and long-term goals.

?5.???? Of course, never forget to watch every thought as the observer.
