Mind your own business
It is none of your business, a jingle we often toss in an attempt to warn others not to interfere. In a polite context, it means attending to your duty.
In society, we are sometimes in situations where we have no other obligation but to mind what may appear to be someone else business. When things go wrong in a position to set them for the benefit of all, and it is prudent to do just that. We may overlook a fault elsewhere that can perniciously tiptoe into our quota. In the grand scheme of things, where one is not living alone on a secluded island, we are one another business.
It is then necessary to be objective, not subjective in approaching important matters outside and looking beyond the situation or person with knowledge that in the end, we are in this together, our losses conjoined. It can be a personal issue like saving someone else face or sharing an experience to benefit, not withholding information that can direct and reform. A word of encouragement is apt, giving someone a shoulder to lean on. Many times we need others in our affairs to see?the blind spot. You can be the savior of someone in an emotional whirlpool and direct one playing short of a deck.
We see it widely when leaders are agents of positive change. Many things we enjoy are a product of their willingness to think outside the box, stepping out in faith, even suffering personal losses, to be sons of liberty and women of repute who emancipated the rest of humanity. Lincoln, Gandhi, and Wangari Wa Maathai. The story of the Good Samaritan is on the broadcast. It is elegant to refuse to be the cold and timid soul satisfied with a depressing status quo and dare to adventure beyond the tribe, the village, and find out the world. It requires empathy, emotional intelligence, and nobility of character, the goodwill of human nature.

So would you silently watch a decay going on? or be vulnerable and stand up to defend or save a situation from worsening? Is it still none of your business? Narcissism is just that.
At least we support those who go all out into our world affairs for taking risks on our behalf.
