Mind Your Own Business

I personally believe today is another day to be thankful for the opportunity given by God to make impact in my own little way. This morning I took time to reminisce about the human race and why God has decided to keep and preserve us till today.

In my meditation, I realized that one of the most dangerous disservice you can do to yourself is to compare yourself to others. Many people are on a race that does not align with God's plan and purpose for their lives hence the constant struggle to achieve greatness - they seem to forget that what works for Mr. A many not necessarily work for Mr. B. The same grass that nourishes a cow can be fatal to a dog - their digestive systems operate differently.

Understanding your purpose, capacity, potentials, skills, talents, qualities, experience, and timing is critical to your success in life. Every individual is created uniquely hence, no two individuals can have the same finger print. Despite the fact that the Lion and the Shark are both professional hunters they both can only excel and function effectively in their natural habitat. A lion that attempts to hunt in the ocean has set itself up for imminent failure and death likewise a Shark that wants to hunt on land.

It is therefore imperative that you understand and appreciate your uniqueness and develop your gifts along that line. Enjoy what makes you unique rather than envying others. You have no business to imitate or envy anyone. Remember you are a finite being, you will grow old and die. Why focus on other when you have being created for a purpose. Run your own race and focus on developing your gifts. "Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will work for kings, not unimportant people." - Proverbs 22:29; (ISV)

Do you see a person skilled in his work? He will take his position before kings; he will not take his position before obscure people." - Proverbs 22:29.

"That you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you," - 1 Thessalonians 4:11

Hone your skills because it has great recompense of reward. Never compare yourself to others, it is an insult to your Creator. Never envy others - your timing, gifts, capacities and potentials are not the same. Mind your own business.

As you go about your day, remember you are a masterpiece created by God for good works, God has invested so much in you.
