Mind + Your + Business
"Mind Your Business" - according to the Cambridge Dictionary, this term is used to tell someone in a rude way that you do not want them to ask about something private.
According to my dictionary, this is the term I use when I like to say 'myself' in a 'regardless' way that I do not have to reconsider something I am not passionate about.
This is my expression as the unapologetic version of my new self, who is ready to drive success regardless!
And yes, the definition of success may vary, which always happens from person to person as we live by different values.
But the point that I want to make is that when we change the context, we can see things differently, we can think differently, and we can act differently. Though, as per the dictionary, mind your business is not a very polite approach, I see a polite and authentic side to this term. To me, it is the authentic way of reflecting our values, insights, and ideas in practicing life and business. And the authentic practice of ourselves will eventually lead to a milestone when we can claim that we are self-made.
Changing the context allows us to see, think, and act differently, unlocking new potential within ourselves.
Now, the question might arise: why is it essential?
As coaches, trainers, consultants, teachers, or speakers, we start a battle between purpose and profit when we decide to start a business. Our giving version wants to give and give, but it hurts our survival, as it is impossible to live a decent life without selling our services. When we start selling our services, it's another battle to grow the business. When we start growing our business, we move from 5 figures to 6 figures to 7 figures. And we enter another level of the battle where we need to build a different level of competencies to be able to manage it while keeping the quality of our lifestyle.
And if you observe closely, over the journey of our growth, whether in business or personal life, there is only one thing that we need to keep in mind: our true selves.
By embracing who we really are and staying present, we can totally change how we see and achieve anything in life. When we rethink our values and balance purpose with profit, we set the stage for real growth and fulfilment.
