Inversion

You speak of

diversity

equity and

inclusion

you silver forked tongued devil

don’t you know diversity has always been?

don’t believe the lie.

?

Father of lies

thinking you are sly

hiding behind a thing called Satanic inversion.

?

You have charmed, cajoled, and guilted babes

from full tender breast

the new mother eyes dew wet desperate

watch you take her babe

from her unwilling fingers

into your hands and room full up with others.

?

Your words a silk slap

to vulnerable newly minted woman

a wage slave you have convinced

she must hand off

her wee one into your care

that she is weak

if she doesn’t trust you

provocateur.

?

You purveyor of dank spaces

attempted to take over the

most important leadership position in the world.

?

With it you have captured and shackled

the heart of three generations standing

taught the children of our country

to go up when you say down

right when you say wrong.

?

Drunk on greed and

decades of winning

you have revealed your hand

to those with wise eyes.

?

You are the snake oil salesman

you accuse others of being.

?

Trying to patent and control the

living life forms of the world

from terminator seed to the jab

so full of rot and fear of

your own making.

?

You seduce our children

with empty promises of beauty,

good and grandeur.

?

They are

unknowing of the inversion

of your intent.

?

They follow only

the meaning of your words

just as you have trained them

in your institutions.

?

What you fail to appreciate

we are more than you understand

in your small-minded logical brilliance

we are more than you comprehend.

?

We rise as nations

as mother’s and father’s

we rise as fully human

we understand our value beyond

measure…
