Mind, spirit & Soul have inter-relations

There are differences between mind, soul and spirit. Your mind is like your conscience, your heart, your soul is what is living In you, God gave you the breath of life to your soul which connects to your mind and your spirit is what connects you with God like Romans 8:6-8 says “for to be carnally minded is death: but to be Spiritual minded is life and peace, because the carnal mind is eternity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. So your spirit connects you to God your soul is life connected to your spirit and mind which tell you what is right or wrong the Holy spirit speaks to your mind and your soul remains like your heart. The flesh is nothing it just covering these things. The flesh later turn into nothing. This states there are differences between the Mind, Soul and Spirit.

After living with the 3 of them for more than 60 years, here is the conclusion of my thinking, my own feelings and my own theory; The Soul existed before we were born and it continues to live after we die. It is always in peace and quietly observing both of the Mind and the Spirit. It knows everything before and after this life. It is our intuition and our gut feeling. The Mind is the part that is concerned with this world. It is our thoughts, our fears, our emotions and our experiences. It will die when we die. It is concerned only with the physical and the material world and cares only for its own needs and desires.

The Spirit is torn between the soul and the mind trying to figure out which of them to follow in everything we do. It is the part that suffers to make the choices in order to reach a decision or take an action. Sometimes it follows the mind and other times it follows the Soul. The Spirit's decisions are responsible for our progress and our energy growth in this earthly life and hence it is fully responsible for the next energy level we will move on to after we leave our body. Here are some basic definitions of the spiritual words in simple language.

Action — That which an ego doesn’t do but which seems to be done by God. Angel — An astral entity that serves God. Usually. Awareness — Brahman — identity without a manifest individuality. Being — Basic consciousness. Aimless without an expression of “I.” Brahman Consciousness — The ultimate in human consciousness. Duality — God plus non-God. Example: me eating pistachio ice cream. Emotion — How the heart knows without needing words. Enlightenment — Beyond being fooled by illusions. Evolution — Becoming less fooled. God — The perfect manifestation of awareness. Existential Being. God Consciousness — Knowing the divinity of all experience

Mantra — A sound with known effects if used properly. Mind — A “place” where thoughts are displayed. Mindfulness — Attending the non-word aspects of the mind. Nature — God’s intent. Non-duality — Awareness, Brahman. Prayer — Worshiping silence to increase one’s Venn overlap with God. Psychology — Feckless concepts about thoughts. Ego blarney. Sensations — Existential News — broadcast 24/7. Soul — Temporary individuality. A set of attachments. Spirit — Awareness plus “the witness” (half awareness, half consciousness)

Thought — Illusory delta. Gelled emptiness. God’s workshop dust. Transcendent — The Changeless. Delta schemata. Transcending — Increasing the amount of silence in an experience. Unity Consciousness — Mind indistinguishable from awareness. Yogi — Basic enlightenment. Yogic humor — Three monks sit for ten years in a cave. 1st says, “A white horse walked by outside. Ten years later, 2nd says, “That horse was brown.” Ten years later, 3rd says, “I can’t stand this constant bickering!” Now you know. So, you should be able to be enlightened.

Spirit is the absolute, ever existing, ocean of consciousness: God. “ The Spirit manifested this universe out of Its own consciousness.” - Swami Kriyananda. First He manifested vibrations of thought; these vibrations of thought, vibrating more grossly became energy; and this energy vibrating still more grossly, took on the appearance of matter. A soul is individualized Spirit. God dreamed you into existence when He made you a wave of consciousness on His ocean of consciousness.

The thought that we are separate from God is the delusion of ego consciousness. When we become enlightened we do not lose our individuality; we gain awareness of our unity with God. Super-consciousness is the native state of the soul. Our mind, is simply our consciousness as a human being. This is only a small part of our consciousness. We will not be fully awake until we awaken in super consciousness. “The whole ocean of joy rolls beneath the little wave of your consciousness.” - Paramhansa Yogananda. Cheers!
