Mind-Mapping Your Trampoline of Inspiration How to Visualize Your Path to MORE!

Recently on a podcast, I shared why we excel as seasoned business owners, highlighting our experience, resilience, adaptability, sense of humor, and the networks we've built over time.?

I talked about our growth in empathy, vision, and our ability to mentor and create a legacy. During that conversation, I dropped the term trampoline.?

Many of you asked, "Isabel, what are you talking about? Isn’t this a business podcast, not gymnastics?"

So let me explain what I mean by a trampoline and why every seasoned woman serious about getting the most out of life needs to build her own trampoline.

Imagine a virtual trampoline made up of strong and supportive relationships. Each band of this trampoline represents a connection with friends, advisors, mentors, and peers, all working together to create a resilient and flexible foundation for you.

"Think of the robust springs on your virtual trampoline," I explained, "signifying essential support structures like girlfriends, personal advisors, coaches, and strategic networks that empower you to bounce back from setbacks with renewed energy."

As you leap on your trampoline, it propels you higher every time, symbolizing the dynamic and uplifting nature of the interconnected support system you have curated.

But a trampoline is also a safety net.?

It catches you when you fall and catapults you to greater heights, embodying resilience, empowerment, and continuous growth.?

Seasoned women excel in their current endeavors because of this resilience and adaptability. We are wise enough to know that we can gather more support to live the best life we choose and become the best version of ourselves.

How to Mind-Map Your Trampoline

Start by visualizing your own virtual trampoline that provides support and inspiration.?

Here are some key words to anchor your vision:

Supportive - Emphasize the networks and relationships that provide emotional and professional backing.

Resilient - Highlight the strength and flexibility that help you recover from setbacks.

Empowering - Focus on the ability to uplift and encourage not only your personal growth and confidence but also the impact you will have by the energy you create.

Flexible - Think of how you can freestyle on your trampoline, adapting to various situations and challenges.

Dynamic - Nothing is status quo. Leverage the energy from the movement on your trampoline for continuous growth.

Connected - Reflect on the strength that comes from the interwoven support system that forms your foundation.

If you enjoy doodling or creating mind maps, this is an excellent exercise.?

Think of a mind map of your virtual trampoline, custom-designed specifically for you.?

Visualize it as a safety net that catches you when you fall and propels you back up with renewed energy.

"Maybe it's elastic bands or bungee cords in your image," I suggested. "Picture strong, elastic bands symbolizing flexibility and resilience. Or focus on the springs representing key relationships and resources that help you bounce back higher each time."?

A circular frame, symbolizing unity and interconnectedness, is perfect because women are strongest in circles. Add some uplifting arrows pointing up, representing continuous growth and upward movement.

There's a saying, 'When you stumble, make it part of the dance.'”

I'd like to reframe that: When you stumble, let your trampoline catch you, and help you soar higher!
