Mindbenders - Your escape from overthinking!
Has someone abused you? Was your boss furious with you because you failed to meet the deadlines? Are things not going well with your partner?
These are some of the most common excuses people give for overthinking.?
I do remember an ancient story where a mentor asks his student to hold a glass of water perpendicular to his body. He does that for a few minutes with ease but soon starts to feel the pain in his arm.
The mentor then says it’s not the glass of water that is heavy. It’s the amount of time for which you hold it that makes it.
Similar is our perspective on difficulties in life.?
It is not about outside circumstances. It is our reaction to them that causes misery. A small situation seems big when you keep processing it continuously in your mind.
Dr. Joseph Murphy in his famous book “the power of your subconscious mind” says, “the situations in our life are a reflection of our mindset”.
It means you need to have a positive mindset to attract positive situations in your life. It is where the idea of mind busters comes into play. The idea of outsmarting your brain through positive thinking.
So what if your boss was furious, you can always catch up with your friends after the office, or catch a local sports event that cheers you up.?
Why do you have to carry your office burden home with you? Just leave it at the office, and find something different to do.
Why do you have to react to abuses aimed at you? Can’t you laugh at the stupidity of the abuser and let it pass?
Find mind-busting ideas that condition your brain to think positively.
