Made In Manchester Awards 2025

Last night the SUMMIT team attended the 2025 Made In Manchester Awards. We had a great night and were a proud sponsor of the Marketing Professional Award which Andy Schofield had the pleasure of judging and presenting. We have been working with pro-manchester and their MIMAs for several years - Sean Pickles leading on the branding for the event and doing a fantastic job as usual.

"Honestly the Summit team have been amazing, couldn’t have been more helpful and did such an amazing job so please pass on my thanks to them!"

Each year at the awards we play a fun game of guessing the winners in each category before they announce the award. With 3 days to go we had an idea to gamify it and put the rules and a winners crown on every table. Sean Pickles designed up a quick sleeve, scoring table and branded paper crown. Big shout out to EMPINE for turning it around so quickly for us.

YAB is back!

After a break for SuperYAB and Christmas, YAB is back! Kerrie (Medlicott) Walton held her first YAB of the year in Manchester - there was great energy in the room and even after they'd finished no one wanted to break from their conversations. Andy Henderson held Lango's first YAB of 2025 today with a fully packed room and loads of new guests.

We're looking forward to an exciting 2025 - in March we will be launching two new groups in Trafford Manchester and Hebden Bridge with more to follow this year. YAB is going to be bigger and better than ever!

Lunchtime Walks

We are very lucky that the area surrounding our office is picturesque, meaning we can step away from our desks at lunchtime and get some fresh air, even if the weather is a bit dull! It's a great way to break up the day, get away from the screens and have a bit of a natter and a brainstorm. Sarah Clemson Katherine Molyneux

This week Rich recommends LouLou's, a bakery in the Ribble Valley that's become our go-to for celebratory treats.

Their chocolate cookie millionaire slice hits the spot with its generous layer of caramel, but the Cornish ice cream cake balls are simply incredible, and my wife and I can't get enough of them. If you're looking for amazing desserts in Lancashire, this place needs to be on your radar.

When is an event company not an event company?

We've estimated we'll organise, host, design-for and speak at over 200 events this year. If you would like to chat about how we can help your event let us know.

If you want to know more about any of our Strategy, Marketing or Community-building services or to learn more about YAB - drop any of us a DM or email [email protected].
