Giannis Antetokounmpo, the multicultural, and multinational fellow from Greece, (The Greek Freak), and the Most Valuable Player (MVP) scored a total of fifty points to win the final game. He achieved his dream of Milwaukee winning the NBA championship. “Fear The Deer,” motto, echoed high in the air.” Enjoy the poems and the game with a smiling face. Blessings to you, your loved one, and family members always!
Poem # 1: Audience Shouted—"Wooooo Slam Dunk!” (Basket Ball Poem)
Giannis, has the ball bouncing
He moves to the left his peripheral vision alerted
Abruptly cutting back on the move
Shifting to the right with great insight
On the attack, moving ball bouncing.
Like a sweating colossus gladiator
Maneuvering in the arena
He move so slippery—could not be touched
Dribbling under the opposition
Sweating and splashing arms.
The crowd now in a great rush
From the stands and sidelines standing up
With a bouncing leap like a high springboard fancy diver
Rising for the tips of his toes, he spins
Giannis, moving through thin air.
The basket round rim getting closer
Like an eagle diving for a fresh salmon
His right hand extended—“What a shot?”
The “Greek Freak” lands lightly without a squeak
Head slightly turned and looking up—smiling!
Ball bouncing landing close to his side
Basket rattles, rings, and netting sings
The audience jumped, bounced, and cheered
“Go Ahead Greek Freak!
“Wooooo Slam Dunk!”

Poem # 2: Milwaukee Bucks vs. Phoenix Sun NBA Finals Game—"Fear The Deer!”
This is the final game, and Bucks are on top!
The “Greek Freak, Giannis,” has the ball
Moving down the court
Skipping and looking left to right.
They came at him out of nowhere.
“You want some of this?”

Voices heard cutting through the air.
They were face to face shuffling
Breath sighing not softly
In this round the clock is ticking down
Giannis faked to the left and cuts back right.
The heat was on all the way—stove turned up
Switching from left to right
Multiple arms just moving and stretching.
Squeaking sounds are heard from sneakers
Voices utter challenging tempos
Excited audience screamed—“Come on with it!”
Jump and give us three more points!”
Ball bouncing while turning
Spinning around from left to right hand
Ball flipped between his legs and caught from the back.
Like an eagle rising with pinpointed sight
Ready to take flight into the sky
Extending from heel to toe to gain height
“Can’t touch this, like MC Hammer” songs!
From the outer circle
Like a sharp Marine Corps soldier making an about-face.
A spinning 360 degrees shot in mid air
“This turkey is mine on the dime!”
Basket rattles like tambourines
Click-ite-tick, from the switch
Audience standing, now shouting louder
“Can’t touch that… three points!”
They high fived others all the way!
Shouting—“Go Ahead, Greek Freak!”

Authors’ Notes: The name, Giannis Antetokounmpo, multicultural, and multinational fellow from Greece (AKA “The Greek Freak”), is too hard and long from many to pronounced with clarity. So, they just nick-names him “Greek Freak!”
