Collaborative Support from Key Stakeholders

New York's U.S. Senators

Federal Support and Advocacy New York's U.S. Senators, including Senator Chuck Schumer, can play a crucial role by advocating for federal funding and support. This includes securing grants for infrastructure improvements, technology initiatives, and educational programs. Their influence can also help streamline federal regulatory processes, making it easier to implement large-scale projects.

Promoting Investment Senators can promote the Niagara Falls project to potential investors and tech companies across the nation, highlighting the region’s potential as a burgeoning tech hub. This national attention can attract additional private sector investments and partnerships.

The NY SMART I-Corridor Tech Hub seeks to shift the trajectory of Upstate New York via the formation of a globally leading semiconductor cluster which designs and delivers semiconductor solutions for the region, the nation, and the world.

Empire State Development (ESD)

Financial Incentives and Grants Empire State Development can offer financial incentives such as tax credits, grants, and low-interest loans to attract businesses and startups to Niagara Falls. These incentives can reduce the financial burden on new ventures and encourage economic growth.

Infrastructure Development ESD can support the development of critical infrastructure, including high-speed internet, transportation networks, and energy-efficient facilities. This foundational support is essential for creating a conducive environment for tech companies and startups.

Niagara County Local Governments

Zoning and Regulatory Support Local governments can facilitate the project by streamlining zoning laws and regulatory approvals. Simplified processes can accelerate development timelines and reduce bureaucratic hurdles.

Community Engagement Engaging with the local community to gather input and support is vital. Local governments can organize forums and workshops to ensure that residents are informed and involved in the development process, fostering a sense of ownership and pride in the project.

Local Workforce Development Local governments can also focus on workforce development programs to ensure that the local community benefits directly from the initiative. Training and education programs tailored to the skills required by new industries can help local residents secure high wage jobs.

In reality, the Milsteins expertise and success in finance, real estate, and technology doesn't cause for a public-private partnership. The government should give them whatever they want and get out the way.

I respectfully disagree. I wonder if these developers' personal properties are maintained at the same level as the ones owned in NF? This tech vision is too similar to the old "better living through chemistry" one that polluted NF.... unless there are yet-to-be-seen environmental protections in this vision.

Wow, this vision for Niagara Falls is like strapping a rocket to our waterfall! ???? As someone in the trenches with you and Jodi (#aftermath) building our tech ecosystem, I'm genuinely stoked about this potential game-changer. But let's talk real, while we're dreaming big, we can't forget our roots, and I know you won't. How do we ensure our residents don't get left behind in this wave of progress? Creating pathways for local talent to ride this tech wave is one solution. And here's the million-dollar question: How do we balance this transformation with our community's diverse needs? We've seen what happens when power gets too centralized - whether it's old industrial families or new tech moguls. The key is finding that sweet spot where visionary investment meets community empowerment. I'm all in for this transformation, but let's do it right. We've got a chance to show the world how to grow smartly, inclusively, and yeah, maybe a bit disruptively too. Let's turn this vision into a reality that lifts all boats - not just the luxury yachts!??????? #NiagaraFalls #TechInnovation #InclusiveGrowth #CommunityFirst #BalancedProgress
