Millions of WordPress Sites Have Been Attacked Through Multiple IP Addresses
Almost 1.6 million WordPress sites have been targeted by various cyber attackers from 16,000 IP addresses. And the data has been disclosed by @Wordfence. Wordfence is the flagship product of Defiant Inc. that provides protection to WordPress Websites, and recently they have also disclosed details of the attacks.
On December 9, 2021, it was found that over 13.7 million WordPress sites were attacked and aimed to take over the website plugin within the period of 36 hours who planned to carry out ill action.?

How To Know If My Site is Infected??
In most cases, hackers change users’ settings. So, you can check whether any other unauthorized users account is present on your WordPress site. If you determine any other account other than what you created, then remove that detected user at that time immediately.?
Also, review the setting section and check whether the New User Default Role is set properly or not. Also, it would be good if you do not use “Administrator” as a new user.?
