The Million Dollar Mind

I’ve talked about how to become a millionaire by 30, but who wants a million dollars NOW? What are you doing right now to bring income in? You must get great at sales if you want money. There’s no getting around it folks. You can be a doctor or a big-time attorney and make $200K, but if you want to go for the million-dollar threshold, you will have to learn to sell something to somebody.

There are three traits of great salespeople I want to share with you today. Remember if you want to be a millionaire, you must get into sales and start behaving as the great salespeople do.

Take these three tips and make them your own:

1. See Non-Sales as Investments—Great Salespeople don’t see failed sales as lost sales but as investments in the future of their business. They don’t say, “I made 4 sales and made this much money”, but rather say, “I made 40 calls and made this much money”. See the difference—they see the other 36 that didn’t actually fund them as being part of their funding process and their business building. Great salespeople don’t see failed sales as lost sales but as investments in the future of their business.

2. Think Value, Not Price—Great salespeople are convinced that their products are more valuable than the money they get for them. They are sold. They have a different view of their product than their competitors. The know its worth more than the competition can offer. They don’t think about the price. They think about 1 thing—value. The greats see it as a ridiculous thing to give up on price when they offer so much value.

3. Turn Failure into Positive—Great salespeople are inspired by failure knowing that failure fuels innovation. I hate failure—who doesn’t? It sounds whack. But the greats twist it and become encouraged by failure and fueled by it. Recently I lost a client and when I got off the phone with him I got some serious inspiration—because I hate failing. I hate it and I know it’s not good for me. What did I do? I went back to preparing, I go back to being interested and pushing at a necessity level. Then I refuse to lose another client like that again. Everyone hates failing and you should too.

But don’t just hate it, learn to use it.

The truth is, it doesn’t matter if you are 29 or 59, you can become a millionaire NOW if you learn how to sell. If you are 20, you don’t need to wait until you are 30. In 2015, the US alone, 300,000 people became new millionaires (CNBC). 821 Millionaires are being made every day in this country. 34 new Millionaires EVERY HOUR...
