The Milli Vanilli Campaign by Roger L. Merrill

The Milli Vanilli Campaign by Roger L. Merrill

In the late 1980s, a pop music act named Milli Vanilli was created.

Milli Vanilli released two studio albums and received the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in February 1990.

Its two main singers, Fab Morvan and Rob Pilatus, had a great look to complement Milli Vanilli’s music.

Entertaining sound, cool singers; but Morvan and Pilatus were not the actual singers.

They were merely lip-syncing. Milli Vanilli was a fraud and the talented artists who actually sang and created the music saw Milli Vanilli stripped of its Grammy Award.

The Biden-fit-for-office fraud perpetrated by the Biden Harris campaign reminded me of Milli Vanilli.

The Biden Harris pretense that President Joe Biden was mentally competent was found irrefutably false when President Biden revealed his infirmity in his debate with former President Donald Trump like when Milli Vanilli’s fraud was discovered when there was a glitch in the playing of a recording of one of their songs during their live performance.

The Biden Harris campaign similarly attempted to promote and portray its candidates as being other than who they truly were, but the Democratic Party needed a believable Fab Morvan and Rob Pilatus to win and was gambling that the American voters would not discover the truth about its candidates until it was too late.

This year, President Joe Biden was promoted by the Democratic Party as a candidate who was and would be capable of handling the job of presidency.

On February 5, the Report of the Special Counsel on the Investigation Into Unauthorized Removal, Retention, and Disclosure of Classified Documents Discovered at Locations Including the Penn Biden Center and the Delaware Private Residence of President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. was presented to the Attorney General of the United States by Robert K. Hur, Special Counsel. On February 9, Vice President Kamala Harris attacked the report saying “The comments that were made by that prosecutor [Hur] gratuitous, inaccurate, and inappropriate.”

She talked about having spent much time with President Biden in the days while he was being interviewed by the Special Counsel and in the weeks following.

She described him as being capable.

She complained, “The way that the President’s demeanor in that report was characterized could not be more wrong on the facts and clearly politically motivated, gratuitous.”

She concluded her remarks with “We should expect that there would be a higher level of integrity than what we saw.”

These are the portrayals of President Biden that led to Vice President Harris’ objections:

Mr. Biden’s memory was significantly limited, both during his recorded interviews with the ghostwriter in 2017, and in his interview with our office in 2023.

Mr. Biden's lapses in attention and vigilance demonstrate why former officials should not keep classified materials unsecured at home and read them aloud to others, but jurors could well conclude that Mr. Biden's actions were unintentional.

We have also considered that, at trial, Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory

Mr. Biden's memory also appeared to have significant limitations-both at the time he spoke to Zwonitzer in 2017, as evidenced by their recorded conversations, and today, as evidenced by his recorded interview with our office.

Mr. Biden's recorded conversations with Zwonitzer from 2017 are often painfully slow, with Mr. Biden struggling to remember events and straining at times to read and relay his own notebook entries.

In his interview with our office, Mr. Biden's memory was worse. He did not remember when he was vice president, forgetting on the first day of the interview when his term ended ("if it was 2013 - when did I stop being Vice President?"), and forgetting on the second day of the interview when his term began ("in 2009, am I still Vice President?").

He did not remember, even within several years, when his son Beau died. And his memory appeared hazy when describing the Afghanistan debate that was once so important to him. Among other things, he mistakenly said he "had a real difference" of opinion with General Karl Eikenberry, when, in fact, Eikenberry was an ally whom Mr. Biden cited approvingly in his Thanksgiving memo to President Obama.

Mr. Biden's apparent lapses and failures in February and April 2017 will likely appear consistent with the diminished faculties and faulty memory he showed in Zwonitzer's interview recordings and in our interview of him.

I suspect that Vice President Harris did not read the Special Counsel’s Report (345 pages) and maybe not even the White House’s reply (5 pages) to the Report signed by Richard Sauber, Special Counsel to the President, and Bob Bauer, Personal Counsel to Joseph R. Biden, Jr. Sauber and Bauer’s reply contained the words “gratuitous” and “inappropriate.”

Her use of both of those words surely owes its origin to Sauber and Bauer’s reply and probably a White House staffer who advised her what to say to rebut the damning Report.

Neither Vice President Harris nor Sauber and Bauer, however, could refute the facts that President Biden could not remember the year when he stopped being Vice President and forgot the year when his term began as shown by his asking “in 2009, am I still Vice President?”

Touch that sleeping dog and it will rise and rip you apart.

One cannot read those facts without concluding anything other than that in February 2024 President Biden suffered from “diminished faculties and faulty memory.”

Regardless of the depth of Vice President Harris’ knowledge of the details of the Report, she had to have gathered from her association with President Biden that all was not well.

She knew in advance what became abundantly clear to the American public when President Biden had his Milli Vanilli glitch moment on June 27, the night of his debate with former President Trump.

Vice President Harris’ advance knowledge in February of President Biden’s diminished cognitive abilities did not deter her from saying that the Report grossly misstated (“could not be more wrong”) President Biden’s condition.

Why lie to everyone when she had to have known President Biden was diminished and it was not good for our country to have a mentally impaired Commander in Chief?

She wanted to get her hands on that Grammy.

If President Biden were to be reelected, then at some point over the next term he would crumble completely and Vice President Harris would ascend.

Like a used car salesman, she sold an old Biden assuring us there were still lots of miles under the hood while knowing it was likely to breakdown before reaching home.

To quote Vice President Harris, “Politically motivated” and “[w]e should expect that there would be a higher level of integrity.”

Like Milli Vanilli, Vice President Harris endeavored to sell us an unreal image.

She lied forcibly and convincingly.

She worked alongside others within the Democratic Party to foist the Biden-fit-for-office fraud upon us.

She chose party, power, and self-interest over country.

If she were in the music business, she would be finished.
