Millennial (What We Want)

Us millennial's are the most difficult generation to understand as per the Gen X. We don't know what we want. In fact Gen X say's that if somebody will ask us how we can be more productive we will ask for free food and bean bag. Really!!!
We are different but NOT stupid. We have a very different way of working because we spend more time on the internet rather than learning things as per the traditional ways. But, does that make our way of working wrong? It’s even difficult for us to understand how to cope with the GenX because we both were raised in very contrasting environments. So I would like to address this and suggest three ways that might help GenX to connect with us:
Start with what you want: We have spent most of our childhood playing games online where the goals were clear- In order to win the Princess we have to kill the dragon, hence we like jobs with clear goals and pre-defined goals. The first document a fresher is handed at his first job is his KRA- a task list. Now, we assume that when these tasks are complete we will win the Princess’s heart, but that doesn’t happen always. It confuses us because you are not just taking away our princess, you are showing us that we have been operating wrong since childhood.
So what will help us? Being clear with what you expect from us, not only what is required from us each day, week, month or quarter, but let us what we need to do to grow in an organisation. Don't take KRA as some words to fill the offer letter, type what you expect from us so we can go home with the princess.
Positive Feedback at right time: We are simple creatures, easy to predict. Just like we work really hard to make sure that we get maximum likes on our latest update on social media, we try to do the same with our jobs i.e. get maximum people to like us. Instead of catching us on the time where we are doing something wrong and busting us for it, also make sure you notice when we are doing right thing and share your feedback with us. This way you will be surprised to see the result from us and you will have a loyal employee.
Direction: We are full of energy, we try to be Jack of all trades but in order to be an Ace card we need your help because we lack the experience. Sugar coating things with us will not benefit either, but telling us the truth will however help us grow. Don't give us any consultation price as till the time there is one, we will be happy that we got ‘something’. If there will be no consultation price we WILL FIGHT for the trophy. We may use Google maps to reach the office, but we would only need your guidance to put our energy in the right direction.
We are not difficult, but you can define us like this child is the father of man.
