In the dynamic world of entrepreneurship, innovative ideas often sprout from identifying prevailing issues. Mr. Syed Muhammad Awais Naqvi, CEO and Founder – Milkify, stands as a testament to this notion. During his thesis project, Mr. Awais recognized a significant problem within Pakistan's local milk delivery system. He noticed that the milk quality suffered during transit, especially in hot weather, and the lack of hygiene from local delivery men further worsened the situation. Observing these issues, Mr. Awais set out to improve the quality of milk delivered to people's homes, he began a journey that eventually gave birth to Milkify.
The core concept was to design a solution that would address these challenges and provide high-quality, hygienic milk directly to people's doorsteps. Mr. Awais's brainchild was a specially designed bike that operated without electricity, ensuring 24-hour milk delivery capability. The bike was equipped with a digital balancing system, leveraging technology to maintain optimal temperatures and ensure the freshness of the delivered milk.
Transforming this university-originated technology into a viable commercial product was no small feat. Mr. Awais and his team encountered numerous challenges. The dye process for the fiberglass prototype demanded substantial investment. Ensuring proper insulation to maintain temperature standards, integrating the digital balancing system, and installing the prototype on the bike were formidable tasks. Yet, perseverance and iterative prototyping led to the creation of a market-ready solution.
Securing funding, pivotal for any startup's growth, became a reality for Milkify through an initial investment from a UK-based angel investor. Currently eyeing series of funding, Mr. Awais remains optimistic about the startup's trajectory.
