Military Surplus Saved Lives in Orlando Shooting

#pray for Orlando The use of military surplus Equipment saved lives in the horrific Orlando shooting and was used to protect police in the San Bernadino shootings. We have all seen the Orlando military helmet splashed across our screens that saved an officer's life who risked his own life to take down the Orlando shooter.  

There are those who say that the police should NOT accept and be allowed to use Military Surplus Equipment in protecting our property and lives. 

THESE FOLKS ARE WRONG. 

Ever since the April 11th, 1986 gun battle between 8 FBI agents and 2 serial bank robbers whereby 2 FBI agents were killed and 5 wounded though the good guys "outnumbered" the bad guys; police have been playing catch up with the "bad guys." That incident put more powerful handguns in the hands of FBI agents and police departments across the land. Simply put, police were 'outgunned' by the weapons of the bank robbers. 

I am sure that some objected to the use of  semi-automatic weapons being placed in the hands of law enforcement. I am also certain that many of those people never had to lay their life on the line each and every day they went to work!

Folks, there is a war on crime and a terrible war we are fighting against terrorist that requires we put the type of equipment into the hands of Law Enforcement that protects and saves lives. Without the help of Military surplus equipment handed down to Law Enforcement, more people will be killed including the first responders to scenes like the Orlando shooting. There are many smaller Law Enforcement agencies that could not afford the type of equipment they need to defend their citizens without Military Surplus equipment. 

We all know the terrible consequences of "tieing the hands" of our military on the battlefield, do not allow the same thing to happen to the brave men and women of Law Enforcement. Stand tall and against any movement by any politician regardless of party affiliation that would want to take away this life saving equipment. 

Supporting Law Enforcement is much more than talking about support, it is showing that support by properly equipping our men and women. In this day and time, the life you save may be your own....or your spouse....or your child....or your friends.
