Milhouse's 2024 Wrapped

Milhouse's 2024 Wrapped

As we close out 2024, I reflect on the incredible journey we've been on since the day Milhouse was founded. On December 12th, we celebrated our twenty-third anniversary, a milestone that fills me with pride and gratitude. When I started this company, it wasn’t just about creating an engineering and construction firm. It was about building something bigger—an organization that would make a real impact in our communities and leave a legacy of excellence. And today, I’m proud to say we’re doing just that—and more.

This year has been a testament to our unwavering commitment to quality, with each of our service groups working?on impactful projects that are shaping our world.

In New York City, our MEP team designed a groundbreaking zero-carbon facility at South Battery Park, setting a new standard for sustainable engineering. In Chicago, Milhouse Construction took the lead as general contractor for Forty Acres Fresh Market, a vital project addressing food injustice on the city’s West Side. Across the Southeast, Milhouse Forestry provided rapid emergency storm response, restoring power and hope in the aftermath of devastating hurricanes. And across the country, our gas and power teams have been leading infrastructure improvements that ensure the safe, reliable delivery of critical utilities. We’ve also celebrated the completion of transformative projects like the Damen Green Line Station and the O'Hare Terminal 5 Parking Garage. These projects are now serving the public, enhancing accessibility, and making a lasting difference.?

None of this would be possible without our clients and partners, and I want to personally thank you. Together, we're not just delivering quality work, we're creating lasting positive change in our world. You are a vital part of our journey, and we're honored to have you with us.

As we look forward to 2025, we're excited about what's to come. On behalf of the entire Milhouse family, I wish you a safe and joyful holiday season and a prosperous new year. Here's to continuing to build something great—together.

"Milhouse Charities, the 501(c)(3) foundation and heart of Milhouse, was created to invest in and advance the education, exposure, and development of underrepresented youth and minorities in STEM while reinvesting to make a difference in the communities where we earn. An Inside Look at Our Culture

Housegiving Potluck

Our team celebrated the holiday season with a "Housegiving" potluck. Team members from our Chicago, Lombard, and Atlanta offices gathered and shared their favorite Thanksgiving dishes, enjoying some time together before the holiday break.?

Together in Teal Walk

In October, team members joined together for the Together in Teal Walk hosted by the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition—Midwest Region. This event aimed to raise funds in support of ovarian cancer prevention and treatment efforts.

One in every 75 women will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and the recurrence rate is 80%. The Milhouse Engineering Lions raised over $500 for the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition’s 2024 Together in Teal??Funds. The NOCC supports national programs and local community initiatives to heighten awareness of the subtle signs, symptoms, and risks of ovarian cancer, provide quality-of-life and educational resources to survivors and caregivers throughout their journey, and advocate for the advancement of life-saving ovarian cancer research.

Thank you to all who donated and participated in this worthy cause.

We wish you a wonderful holiday season and a successful start to the new year.
