As TechFides hits its 5-year mark in 2024, we've pondered our journey so far, and some of the interesting and unforeseen twists and turns this ride has taken us on. We've found some sweet spots in industries and spaces we wouldn't have necessarily predicted we'd gravitate to, like Not-For-Profit/NGOs and Higher Education, although it does add up in hindsight given our collective passion for compassionate capitalism. We strive to leave our clients and their worlds in a much better place than find them in, and the ripple effects for the people they're able to more effectively reach and serve are what drives us. We also recognize that our bread and butter, the space where most of our team cut their teeth, is in global manufacturing. And with hundreds of billions of dollars of manufacturing being reshored and repatriated in the US in the coming years, being able to manage these operations efficiently and cost-effectively is paramount. We're excited to be an integral part of this journey with the American manufacturing sector.?
Earth Day
Earth Day was this past Monday, and we wax a bit on the concept of Sustainable IT in our latest piece in the Forbes Council. Almost every business of every size today is digitized to some extent, and that digital capability lives on the back of the hardware that enables it. The amount of time a piece of IT hardware spends in service is a blip compared to the amount of time that same hardware spends in a landfill. We're gradually moving towards sustainability, whether we're pushing or being pulled, through concepts like recyclability, degradability,? power consumption/savings, extended lifecycles, and more.
