This week is episode 350 of the show.

I’ve decided to run some numbers past you.?

These numbers are important to me.?

They explain how I support you.

I also want your advice about some resources I’m creating.?

Let’s talk about the number 7

7 years of podcasting.

350 episodes.?

That’s 350 weeks of showing up to help you on your inclusion journey.

90% of podcasts don’t get past episode 3.

Of the ones that do.

90% don’t get past episode 20.

This means having more than 21 episodes places you in the top 1% of podcasts in the world ever.?

(I’ve struggled to find a definitive source for this claim)

I’m hoping you indulge me on this special occasion.?


Let’s talk about the number 5

We have 5 types of show?

- Research Breakdowns?

I take research and explain how and why it can be useful for you.?

- Jargon Explainers?

This is where we make sense of words that get thrown around a lot.?

- Expert Interviews?

We went years without interviewing anyone on the show.?

Currently, the only people we interview are authors of books I’ve already read.

- Critical Insights?

I share what I know from my client work.?

I share what I know from my experiences.?

I share what people tell me.?

- Book Reviews?

I review books from people in the field.

Or books that have helped me personally.

Some I make into 60 Second Book reviews.

There are about 75+ here.?

This is a key part of my Evidence Based Inclusion practice.


Let’s talk about the number 166?

Our audience comes from 166 different countries.?

Depending on who you speak to.

There are 195 countries?in the world today.?

193 are member states of the United Nations.

Only 2 are not.?

- The Holy See?

- The State of Palestine

Our audience represents 85% of all the countries in the world.?

- Albania to Zambia.?

- Venezuela to Uzbekistan?

- Saint Vincent to Senegal

And there was an “other” category.

So maybe we’ve reached every country in the world.?

I can’t prove it... yet.

Let’s talk about the number 15

15 minutes is the average length of the show.

I think it’s shorter for reasons I discuss on the show.

My goal is always to give you a high return for your time and attention.?

Last week I had a massive compliment from a member of our audience.

I won’t say his name but he’s based in Western Asia.

He paid for an organisation to deliver training where he worked.?

He said our podcast goes into more depth than the training he paid for.?

I want our free stuff to be better than other people’s paid stuff.?

He’s telling me that it is.?

I say it every week but in case you’ve missed it.?

1 million people.?

1 million is a ridiculous number.?

But that’s why I keep showing up.?

People laugh at me when I say this.?

But I actually believe it.?

I actually think I’m going to achieve it.?

It’s all about helping you on your Inclusion Journey.?

We think of Inclusion as a systematic business strategy to ensure everyone shares the same advantages and benefit.

This means:?

- Everyone can perform

- Everyone can belong

- Everyone can reach their potential.?

We think of Evidence Based Inclusion as the path to getting there.?

This means gathering evidence from 4 key sources?

- The scientific literature

- The organisation?

- Stakeholders?

- Professional Experience

This is what we do with our clients.?
