The Miles Partnership 2017 Fundraising Campaign

This year we are working hard to raise ￡18,000 for SOS Children Villages in South Africa. SOS support vulnerable children by building family-based care villages, for children in need, children who are orphaned, abandoned or whose families are unable to care for them. https://sosvillages.org.za

￡18,000 will raise enough to provide a house for ten children and their house mother.

 The whole business (some 45 of us) are involved and we are all are playing a part. To date we have already raised funds through a variety of raffles and smaller events in the office but we’ve more ambitious events including the following:-

• On 6th July, half of the office are taking part in the JP Morgan Corporate Run.
• On 7th July, seven set sail from Menorca to Barcelona, sailing 300 miles over 3 days 24/7 with an inexperienced crew including myself (sadly due to Achilles damage I'm unable to run or bike any distance)!  Night sailing will be new to all bar the Captain so we’re hoping to end up where we’re expected….
• After returning from the ocean, Louise Taylor then takes part in the Prudential RideLondon on 30th July. This involves leg-testing climbs and a route made famous by the world’s best cyclists at the London 2012 Olympics finishing on The Mall in central London.
• In Autumn, we’re hosting a Silent Auction at The Devonshire Club.

We’re all very aware that there are many deserving charities and causes which are fundraising too, so any donations that you make are very gratefully received and photos will certainly follow (all monies go directly to the charity)!
