Milan Design Week 2022 – The Mandatory Events and Exhibitions Guide at Fuorisalone for Design Lovers ??

Milan Design Week is so exciting that many times, too many, we waste time just trying to decide what events and exhibitions to visit.?

As a proud team of design lovers, we had a little argument. If we only had to pick 10 things to see and do in Mila, what would be the unmissables at Fuorisalone 2022?

Here's our team's picks:?

1. Bun Burguers by Maquespacio

In addition to being design lovers, we are foodies. Definitely, we're having a meal at Bun Milan Restaurant. Masquespacio?designed a space with individuality and uniqueness by aiming to have a clear focus on the younger ages and, simultaneously, representing a more refined approach for a high-quality hamburger restaurant.

2. Fondazione Prada by OMA

They say that Italians do it better. We may dispute their status on furniture, but when it comes to Fashion design, nobody does it as Italians do. That's for sure.

Paying a visit to the new?Fondazione Prada?by OMA is definitely worthy. Projected in a former industrial complex but with an extraordinary diversity of spatial environments, the massive expansion of the art system has become art’s default preference, occasionally animated with exceptional architectural gestures.

3. Bosco Vertical by Boeri Studio

The Vertical Forest is an architectural idea that substitutes traditional materials by using plants for its walls. The biophilic masterpiece relies on a vegetation surface, needing to create an appropriate microclimate and filter sunlight, and rejecting the limited technology and mechanical approach to environmental sustainability.

The first example of a ‘Vertical Forest’ (il Bosco Verticale) was inaugurated in October 2014 in?Milan?in the Porta Nuova Isola area. Milan’s Vertical Forest consists of 80 and 112 meters towers, hosting 480 large and medium trees, 300 small trees, 11,000 perennials, and covering plants and 5,000 shrubs. The equivalent - over an urban surface of 1,500 m2 – of 20,000 m2 of forest and undergrowth.
