Milan Design Week 2023
Introducing TDC's Top Ten
This year’s Milan Design Week theme, Laboratorio Futuro, proposes a reflection on how we imagine our future.
An opportunity to debate, imagine and build alternative narratives through collective design dialogue. Brands and designers will explore experiential dimensions of design, while inviting visitors and spectators alike to question how we want to design to be an agent for change.
From sustainable design, circular economy and innovative materials to urban regeneration, technological advances and artificial intelligence; this edition of Milan Design Week will shed light on critical issues of our time.
Here are TDC’s top picks for 2023, and to help you find these events, we have created a?TDC Milan Map?here.

Cristina Celestino Clay Court Club
Cristina Celestino revisits the historic Tennis Club Milano Bonacossa designed by Giovanni Muzio in 1923. The iconic club is counted among the key examples of modern gardens,?unfolding as an indoor-outdoor space where the densely metaphysical atmosphere is pervaded by a classical and timeless language. Clay Court Club originates from the relationship between the existing architecture and the most functional yet playful aspect of the game of tennis. The study of the connection between linear shapes and semicircles, one of Muzio’s favourite architectural themes, becomes the link between objects in the space and the role of materials - compositional and never decorative. For MDW, a special pop up restaurant will interact with the project creating a unique culinary experience, while tennis courts will be made available for booking for the duration of the event.
