Mike DelPrete: 2020 in Review

Mike DelPrete: 2020 in Review

What a transformative year 2020 turned out to be. Amidst the turbulence and uncertainty, in the real estate space we've seen the emergence of the pandemic narrative -- that everything has changed, forever.

Billions upon billions are being invested in companies "reinventing" real estate. Investors, playing the long game, are betting that this is the moment when technology finally changes real estate in a meaningful way.

In this time of rapid and uncertain change, the value of clear insights and smart strategy has never been higher. I'm honored to have played a small role in that this year -- thank you for your time, patience, and willingness to seek out a deeper understanding of the shifts taking place. It makes all of us smarter.

Back to New Zealand

In July, my family and I embarked on a new adventure and returned to New Zealand for a year (or so). We're grateful for the opportunity to be here and are making the most of the change in scenery.

Coming in 2021

Early next year I plan on releasing an updated version of my Emerging Models in Real Estate Report and an analysis of the top threat to real estate portals. Oh, and the Compass IPO.
