MIKAELA SHIFFRIN ENTERS THE HISTORY OF ALPINE SKIING
After her incredible performance in Kronplatz, Mikaela firstly broke Lindsey Vonn’s record (83rd victory) and than secured her 84th World Cup win. SHIFFRIN IS NOW THE BEST WOMAN ALPINE SKIER OF ALL TIME, raising the bar for all skiers to come
She started her career at the age of 17 and, since the beginning, she was able to demonstrate great talent and determination. As a matter of fact, Shiffrin’s win rate is an incredible 35% and her podium percentage is more than half at 55%. Shiffrin also holds 12 World Cup crystal globes in three different disciplines, including four overall titles, as well as nine World Championships medals—including six golds—and three Olympic medals.
“Mikaela Shiffrin is now not only the best woman alpine skier of all time, but she is also a great person, teammate and role model for the sport of alpine skiing,” said Sophie Goldschmidt, CEO of U.S. Ski & Snowboard and we could not agree more.?
We want to congratulate Mikaela for this incredible accomplishment that secured her a spot in the history of Alpine skiing. We could not be prouder of her, and we are extremely honored to have supported her along the way to success.
Mikaela is now ready to chase Stenmark, who holds the absolute record of victories (86). We will most certainly be rooting for her during her next races and we wish her good luck :)
