Mihira - Young Hero

I met this kid Mihira (9th Grade) couple of days ago from Hyderabad during our social initiative event led by Sanghamitra Group, a team of individuals very devoted and who believe in making a difference in the world by helping those in need. He is a very active member of the group. During the last months social initiative in Chinnamandadi village, Mihira found that there were children from that village who go to school walking around 14 kms roundtrip and looking at their interest to study and their commitment to walk the distance he took a pledge and decided to take an initiative to donate bicycles for their school commute. Mihira is just a school kid and he does not have necessary finance to buy bicycles but with his kind and brave heart he took the step to help and make it happen.

It is easier said than done, he had to go through a lot of hurdles and all alone meeting the village sarpanch and getting permission from local authorities to collecting the details of the students and their count from the schools, and he finally started a fundraising campaign through Goodclap . This is helping village to get educated and in a way making nation grow.

I'm so inspired after meeting Mihira who taught me that, age is not the barrier, its the willingness to offer oneself for anything that we see around needs our support. There might be heroes like him around us, let us recognize them, learn from them and support them so the humanity will multiply. I see that today's youth are fearless and they have potential to make things happen. Its so joy to see this.
