Migrationspolitik in Germany
One of the most talked about issues in the world in recent years is immigration. The two largest immigration countries in the world, Germany and the United States, consider immigration to be the most important issue for them. In Germany, the issue is discussed in the media and is called in German?migrationspolitik (migration policy). On the one hand, Germany needs immigrants as a workforce in order to strengthen its economy (since the birth rate is not high) and on the other hand, it wants to minimize crimes committed by unwanted?illegal immigrants.?
?
In the United States, on the one hand, they are interested in minimizing crimes committed by unwanted?illegal immigrants and on the other hand, there is a strong desire to preserve American nationalism. The American labor market, which has also suffered a downturn in recent years, is now interested in recovering and prioritizing American workers over foreign workers. For more information about the meaning of immigration read my next article - Born to immigrate.
What actually happened to the German economy and why is it not the same economy that it used to be in the past? The first reason is that if we look at Germany's industry, especially the automotive market, it seems that Germany now has a strong rival in this industry, and that is China. China is a country that has undergone an intensive learning, streamlining, and production process in recent years, and instead of buying products from Germany, the country builds its own products on its own and at the same time competes with the German market for global markets. China, which has transformed from a German trading partner into a tough competitor to the German manufacturing market, is doing so with less bureaucracy and more efficiency. This is especially evident in the electric vehicle industry.?
?
On the other hand, bureaucracy and the lack of German ambition have created difficulties for companies like Mercedes and Volkswagen. Incidentally, Volkswagen announced at the end of last year its intention to cut the number of employees and close production plants in Germany, for the first time in the company's history, and now Mercedes is also admitting that it will be forced to close production departments.?
?
In addition, the German economy, which has not yet fully recovered from the Covid crisis, has suffered two more severe hits: the first came from the Russian sector, on which the prosperous German economy relied for cheap energy, which turned off the tap (the gas crisis). At the same time, following Germany's decision a few years ago to close its nuclear power plants, Germany now has no other channels for cheap energy, a fact that has caused prices in the country to rise significantly (inflation rate).
Therefore, in practice, energy prices in Germany are 2.5 times higher than in China or the United States, two of its main competitors in international trade. For more info about the the gas crisis, read my next article -?New World Order. But the hardest hit was dealt by the American administration in the White House. In practice, the decision to reduce the impact of economic support on Ukraine, and the promotion of an isolationist American policy while ignoring? The European Union and NATO, made it clear to Germany that the American aid it receives and the American military presence in the country are going to decrease significantly. Therefore, this means that Germany will have to invest many billions in building up its army, protecting its borders, and replenishing its weapons stockpiles.

The reasons for immigrating to a new destination are numerous and vary for each immigrant, but these were the main four reasons, as I wrote before why I chose to immigrate specifically to Germany, so let's analyze them and see what changed from then to now (By the way you can find out more about the term Germanized,in my article -?The term Germanized):
1. Strong economy and low crime rate: Germany has the strongest economy in Europe, and it provides long-term benefits for its citizens. It also combines a social economy model with a capitalistic one. Germany is ranked as a country with a low crime rate. It feels safe to walk around the streets in major cities -?As for now, even though the German economy is at the moment in challenging times (yes there is currently indeed recession), it is still?relatively?strong and I still believe in the German economy in the long run.
2. Low cost of living and apartment rent: While other major cities in the world have a very high cost of living, Berlin’s cost of living is comparatively low, with reasonable apartment renting prices. Unlike other cities, it is not all industrial and has lots of parks; in some areas, it is forbidden to build skyscrapers -?As for now it is no longer true. We are experiencing a high inflation rate and the German economic model has become more capitalistic one in recent years.
3. Desire to study a new language: For many people, studying a new language is a burden, but I have never drawn back from a challenge. In fact, I was intrigued by the prospect, leading to a strong desire to study a new language even though I knew it would take a lot of time and money -?As for this reason nothing has changed, the German language is very elegant and beautiful language and believe it or not it was indeed one of the reasons I migrated to Germany (that why by the way, I have found out that for me, immigration to an English speaking country will be boring).
4. Holding a passport of one of the privileged countries: After doing my research, I found out that Germany is the only country that allows the following passport holders of these countries (Canada, United States, New Zealand, Israel, Japan, South Korea, United Kingdom (as of 2019 due to Brexit)) to search for job opportunities within its borders without requiring a specific visa to do so (Not including the European Union countries of course, Schengen Area). Moreover, unlike in other countries, you will not have to leave the German borders again for bureaucratic arrangements after finding a job there. -?As for this reason, is still valid and exists, and yes it saves you a lot of bureaucratic procedures, you can just arrive into Germany and stay there after you set up your immigration status from within (no need a visa prior to your arrival).
?
It is important to remember that when you, as a potential immigrant, are searching for an immigration destination, you will have to choose the right destination for you. Maybe a capitalist country is more suitable for you than a social country? Maybe you are interested in a destination with a warm climate and this is the most important reason for?you, so you will have to choose such a destination. Maybe you have a certain profession that could fulfil its potential its professional potential in a certain country more than in another country. At the end, you should do your own calculations and choose the right destination for yourself and the lifestyle you intend to create for yourself.?So, in order for you to avoid future mistakes and fulfill your immigration dream, I do recommend to read my next article -?Shattered Dreams.
?
Also remember to build a well-organized long-term immigration plan. When I say long-term, I don't mean for the next three years but at least for the next ten years of your immigration process, since your goal as an immigrant is to stay permanently in that destination.
