Please move with me and subscribe to my Substack: Subscribe to Tycho's substack It's free & easy!
For me it is a matter of principle that my posts are and will always be freely accessible without a paywall.
My newsletter on Substack will be a continuation of the newsletter I started on LinkedIn. Let me explain why I chose to move.
The main reason is that Substack supports writers by offering paid subscriptions. For me it is important that anyone can join the conversation without having to pay. So I will always allow full access for unpaid subscribers.
At the same time I need some form of income to dedicate time to research and writing. I am fully independent and unaffiliated. I am not on a university or corporate payroll .
This means I can say anything want without having to worry about being fired or missing promotion or even about hurting my reputation.
I appreciate this privilege, but to be able to do this I need to have some kind of support to pay the bills. Now, I support myself with a parttime job as a teacher of mathematics and physics and various random jobs.
If you choose to support me I can do less of the random jobs and dedicate more time to my writing.
As I said, it is 100% cool to subscribe for free! In fact I would be grateful if you did and happy to have a conversation with you.
In case you can spare some cash, and would consider supporting my work, these are the subscription plans:
This is what it looks like on Substack:
The title of my Substack newsletter is Tycho Huussen - Exploring Emergence and the description reads:
Emergence is inevitable in times of systems collapse. I explore the edges of "the system", cultural boundaries, and economic realities and wonder what lies beyond and may be our future new reality.
I published my first post on Substack two days ago: Putting the genie back in the bottle: The case for geological netzero, active cooling and CTBO
It's serious stuff brought in a relaxed way, some might say silly ??
I hope you like it! ??
In future posts I intend to elaborate more on CTBO (carbon takeback obligation), active cooling, and the potential of complexity theory in climate policy.
That's it folks. Thanks a lot for signing up to my LinkedIn newsletter and hope to see you on Substack.
Adios, Tycho
