Is Migration to Cloud still a challenge?

It's amazing how old this topic is but at the same time novelty to many. It's not unusual to find expert IT managers with decades of experience with data centers being so afraid of trying Cloud. Even more for traditional technology resellers, used to sell hardware and software licensing, when facing this "new" opportunity.
After some years working with Cloud I'm pretty sure that, for most of the partners/resellers/customers I know, cloud is not a "new" or an "upcoming" thing anymore. Besides that, they know how Cloud works and, sometimes, even know how much it costs. But still don't see how to start or how to make it work for company's benefit, instead of "move everything to the cloud just for fun".
No more seats available at "Cloud Fundamentals" session at Microsoft Ignite The Tour - Stockholm
It was fun... 2-days event, many deep sessions about A.I., Big Data, cloud amazing capacities, but the session named "Cloud Fundamentals" (which was held on the biggest theater) was completely full many minutes before it starts. What does it means?
Where to start? Perhaps this is the main question, even for those experienced IT managers/resellers.
For this reason, me and my colleagues here at Ingram Micro Cloud are producing weekly webinars/discussions events online, not only to learn what is Azure, but mostly to make it easy to understand:
- How to quote and sell it
- How to perform a migration
- How to optimize it and get real benefits for the company
The first season of webinars is over, but we have recorded it all! Take a look on one of the most interesting:
If you want to be part of it, please send me a message here or at [email protected] and I'll be glad to invite you to these sessions. The next season will start soon! See you there
