Migrating from Dynamics GP to Business Central

Microsoft has announced important changes affecting users of Dynamics GP with support and updates for Dynamics GP scheduled to conclude on December 31, 2029, but with longer term security patches extending until April 30, 2031.

These announcements underscore Microsoft's strategic shift and plan for Dynamics 365 Business Central as its primary ERP solution for businesses.

Implications of the Support Conclusion

  • Support Termination - All product enhancements, regulatory updates, service packs, and technical support for Dynamics GP will end on December 31, 2029. Security updates will continue until April 30, 2031, after which official support will cease.
