The middle way path to freedom!

The middle way path to freedom!

The middle way is the path to freedom! Ask yourself how can I meet myself and others in the middle? By doing and being both, or all of the above. It’s not what you do, but how you do it. It’s what’s inside that counts the most. Here are some talking points:

  • The art of attachment and detachment.

Choose what chooses you. Be more of who you truly are. Do more of what you love to do. Love who/what loves you. Let go of/get over what isn’t you and/or what doesn’t choose you. Let go of attachment to outcomes. Let go of judgement, attachment to opinions, and express yourself. Anything you lose by being true to yourself was never genuine or worth it, but you will gain a tribe that is for you. You own nobody or nothing, but yourself so be self-possessed. Be full of yourself and own up to who you truly are. That’s the only thing you can take with you. Nothing belongs to you. Nothing or nobody is bound to your spirit. Everything and everyone will eventually return to its original source. Our mind wants to rationalize and thus attach, but our bodies want to move and be free, so our spirits (higher selves) have to make a conscious effort to meet in the middle.

  • Everything starts with you.

You must be the change that you want to see. Your expectations for something or someone else must match the expectations that you have for yourself. You teach others how to treat you by how you treat yourself. You show others what is/isn’t allowed by what you allow/don’t allow yourself. You must speak up and advocate for yourself/others. Otherwise, you are indirectly agreeing with your silence. You must lead by your own examples and others will follow. In other words, take your powers back and hold yourself accountable for creating your own reality. Holding yourself accountable is the most empowering thing you can do for yourself!

  • Self-control.

Self-control is not doing anything outside of or against the will of yourself and/or others, but always doing what’s in your will and/or in the will of others, which shapes your destiny and reality. This is mutual agreement. This is what you are called or inspired to do because if you don’t, somebody else will or nobody else will. Some things are out of our control, and when we find ourselves trying to control everything rather than what's in our control, we get a reality check. We only have control over ourselves and what we choose to do/be or not do/be. This enables us to focus on ourselves and our own priorities or goals. This allows us to see that there’s more to life and we have the power to experience what we choose.

  • Shared responsibility.

Anything good is meant to be shared, which includes our stories, gifts, talents, and abilities. Your story is not just for you, but for others. And sharing by telling your story is doing a service to the divine. Not sharing and keeping things to yourself is a disservice. We learn as a basic in elementary that sharing is caring. When we share, we lighten up our hearts and everybody wins. Anything that you claim to own or say is yours can become a burden to upkeep that can weigh you and/or others down; either now or later. Sharing your love and light lightens the load. Truth is, nothing is fully y(ours), but it is all of ours. This is why we need to learn how to cooperate, delegate, and collaborate, but first we need to trust ourselves and then trust others. This is why we need a trust and trustees. This is also where it takes a village. In the grand scheme of things, we all have a part to play in making sure everything functions as it should for not only ourselves, but for those around us. I am only as free as those surrounding me and there’s no fun if you can’t have none. This is why success to me is measured by how many others around me are happy/successful as me or more happy/successful than me. You are only as strong as your weakest link. Everybody needs to be on the same page; that is working towards common goals and values.

  • Healing and learning.

Healing and learning are ongoing journeys. Healing and learning is not about changing who you are at the core. It’s about changing your outlook on life, especially about who you are versus what the world told you were supposed to be through self-discovery. Part of healing is about letting go and getting over it. Part of learning is about learning/unlearning. Healing and learning is about staying in alignment and moving forward - good things come in threes, this is when you are in alignment with your body, mind, and spirit. It’s about not going back to what hurt you and what you were freed from.

Healing and learning is about being in touch with your inner child, and reparenting yourself if you have to. Healing and learning is about changing the narrative, being impartial, and gaining deeper clarity. Healing is about knowing that you can be right in the wrong way. You’re right, but your delivery, approach, or method might have been wrong and that’s ok too. There’s only so many ways you can put it and say it when you’re telling the truth. Other times, you just need to understand that there’s another way and your way is not the highway. You and others will still get there. In other words, you can have the right intentions and ideas, but biased perspectives can limit your thinking and ability to receive redirection when needed. In this case, always be teachable. Healing is about knowing that you can be bad in a good way. It’s about daring to stand out and being different while not doing what everybody else is doing just because everybody else is doing. It’s about doing what’s right even when it’s hard and even when others aren’t.

Healing is about becoming okay with failures and mistakes while doing the best you can, so that you can learn from them instead of beating yourself up about them or allowing them to make you feel as if you are a bad person when you are only in a phase of character development. Healing is about being at one with yourself and every aspect of yourself. Healing is about being unbothered by the external and having a sense of inner peace. Learning is about being a master and a student. This means you should have a mentor/coach and your mentor/coach should have a mentor/coach. Learning is about knowing that you need an accountability partner. Nobody can do it all by themselves and if they could, everybody would be doing it. When we are trying to be everything for ourselves, some things can get sidetracked or put on the back burner as we juggle so many things at once.

  • Self-discipline.

True freedom is discipline. You can’t have one without the other. Therefore, it’s about knowing that life is not about “this or that” and “either/or,” but it’s about both of them and/or a combination of them all when it comes to everything. We need some of it all. A little bit of this and that. Maturity comes with responsibility. If you can handle what comes with it, then you can have it and you should have it. Too much of anything good is still good if you can handle it. Abundance is of our nature and nature renews all of its resources. There’s enough of everything for everyone. What you or someone else have or gain doesn't take away from you or them, but adds.

  • Making a conscious decision to live for yourself.

This means not overidentifying with anything, including labels or titles. This means making the unconscious conscious, so you can activate those hidden aspects of you. This means asking yourself: What would you rather do/be? Why? How? Where? When? Then, identifying what’s stopping you. We wear many hats in life. We are all multi-faceted beings. We are all children of the Source. Therefore, we are the Source. Part of my spiritual journey was embracing the dual, androgynous aspects of our being and integrating them into one because all is one; energetically and spiritually. We are not only our heavenly fat(her) (light, masculine energy), but we are our heavenly mot(her) (dark, feminine energy). As a star child, the Moon and Sun are a part of you; it is the inner God and Goddess within. Therefore, you are the Moon, Sun, and star. This also means embracing your own independence and having an identity outside of your relationships with others. This is “I am.” And I am many things, but I am also not many other things. It’s about knowing who you are and who you are not, what’s in your divine essence and what’s not, so you know what to entertain and what not to entertain. Furthermore, it means doing/being you, being true, and being free. When you know yourself and are true to yourself, everything else falls in place because everything you are looking for comes from within.

  • Accepting the nuances of life.

All things have a purpose. Therefore, do all things with the right intent and purpose. There’s no such thing as a life that’s better than yours, so nobody can judge. We can only discern and there's a difference. There are upsides and downsides to everything, which is a direct result of imbalance. Life will never be fully perfect, but it can be. However, we can reach perfection through oneness, authenticity, and balance. You can be grounded, but have your head in the clouds at the same time. You can be optimistic, yet realistic. There’s perfection in the “im”perfection and until we embrace them, we will live in a backwards world due to flawed perspectives. We were granted the power to think deeper, logically, to act freely, and to express emotions such as empathy, so we must use it wisely.

  • Knowing thyself and being true to thyself.

Life is not about faking it until you make it or lying to yourself or others, but convincing yourself. It's about believing in yourself and your capabilities. You have nothing to prove to anybody, but yourself. You are doing this for you and your own soul’s growth by what you learn and experience, so trust yourself, your intuition, imagination, and creativity. What you do for yourself automatically translates to what you do for others. When you help yourself, you help others. When you heal yourself, you heal others. You can’t give what you don’t have, but you can give from overflow. When you know yourself and are being true to yourself, you create harmony with all on Earth and thus create Heaven. Hell is the polarity of this.

In summary, in math, there's something called absolute value, no matter if a number is left (negative) or right (positive) on the number line from zero, it is all still assumed to be positive because there's something to learn from it all. What is there to learn from it all? We all have freedom of choice or free will, which is God(dess)'s will. No matter which way you go, we all should be able to live our own lives and move to the beat of our own hearts and minds without interference as long as we are not bothering anybody or anything. That is God(dess)'s gift to all of mankind and it should not be abused. Life is indeed a precious gift and freedom is a privilege, if we abuse any of them it can complicate this journey more than it should be when it all could be much more simple.
