Middle of the Tunnel

Middle of the Tunnel

Unknowingly sometimes we enter a tunnel in life, wherein we are surrounded by darkness and solitude. Gradually the positive memories of the past start to seem like a dream, that we are not sure if they ever happened or not. In middle of tunnel, the muscles become tired and weary. Every step becomes painful. We cannot see the end. It seems like a hopeless effort. It is the middle of tunnel which breaks many of the travelers. We tend to give up. We tend to create regrets.

This is that middle of tunnel for many people in this pandemic. It started with denial and now is a reality. Initial part was all about fear and noise, but now we are in that critical seemingly unending middle zone.

There are two kinds of people who survive the tunnel, the ones with purpose, ones who believe they are serving a purpose larger than themselves, and will serve bigger purpose once they are out of tunnel. I see this in all people I know and interact, ones with a mission in life seem to be engaged in that mission and are less affected by the negative force of the tunnel. Second are the people with hope and faith, these are people who believe there will be an end to this tunnel. They have faith and optimism. This keep them going despite the odds.

We all need to keep reminding ourselves about the fact that every tunnel that begins has an end even if it is not visible to us. And we need to remind us that every soul lost in the middle of tunnel has a purpose. Hope and purpose are the threads to which you hang in the middle of tunnel.

This shall Pass.
