Midas Touch: Being Someone's Midas Touch

Dear you,
I heard the word 'Midas touch' first from my brother. When I asked him what the world meant he said: the Midas touch is an ability that makes everything one touches become successful. I later learned that it comes from a legend of a king who could turn everything he touches into gold. You can imagine how much I wanted to be that legendry king.
Okay, enough with how and where I heard the term from.
How many of y’all has ever seen a baby real life? I mean real life (don't mind my emphasis).
This is the most ridiculous question, right? I mean 100 out of 1 person have seen a baby before. Well, I have another one in stall for you.
How many of you have seen a baby try to walk for the very first time? Or maybe second or third? And have you ever seen a baby try to stand? Funny, right?
If you have then I bet you must have noticed that the child tried to hold someone, something or a tool to help him or her up.
No matter how strong the child’s will to stand, or walk is, the child needs that support to stand out. Now, that's Midas touch. Then, as time goes by, the child begins to rely more and more on his/her ability to be able to start or walk.
As the child tries to detach themselves from that support (which is perfectly normal), they fall. Sometimes through the help of that support (which may be a friend, parent, family, guardian, nanny, etc.), the child gets back up. At other times, the child tries to get back up on their own.
Now the Midas touch I am talking about here is you. To live a fulfilling life, you have to be a Midas touch for those close to you. Today, I dare you to determine that your life will be a Midas touch to someone, not everyone or the whole world at once, but to that one person whose life, business, academics, relationship, finances would become more meaningful and successful because they came in contact with you.
So, Goodnews my friend. Your family friend(s), family member(s) colleague(s), CEO needs that support especially at day one. Be their Midas touch especially when they are starting out.
So many times, we rely mostly on others to do the job of supporting us. As children, we want our parents to always support us and help us achieve our dreams. They have their dreams too and you can do well to ask dad or ask mum.
‘What is your goal for this year/month/week or today, (Mum/Dad)?’.
Write it down and strategize on how to make their dreams come alive.
As parents, we want our children to always support and follow our decisions, but we could do things differently by asking them.
‘Child, what is your goal for this year/month or tomorrow and what ways do you suggest we help you achieve them?’ by doing this you are being a Midas touch for them and to them.
Also, as a spouse, we expect that once we are married, our partners should automatically allow with our dreams, but you could do things differently by asking:
‘Dear, what is your goal/dream and how can I support you?’
This would go a long way to help save some relationship.
Once in a while, when you read a book on personal development, share it with the people around you (parents, guardian, sibling, friend, spouse) those whose lives affected yours in the very least.
These are little things that help make the lives you touch successful. Guess what! You're helping to make the world a better place too.
