Mid-Hudson Works (MHW) is making a guest appearance this year at the prestigious 2024 Business Excellence Awards hosted by Think Dutchess Alliance for Business on October 24th at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA). This marks a shift from their usual Annual Open House, a significant event for the organization, as they will attend the award ceremony in its place.?

The Nonprofit of The Year award, granted to MHW, highlights over 75 years of service, providing workforce development for veterans, individuals with disabilities, and those re-entering the workforce. In addition, MHW helps small businesses grow by providing services like fulfillment, kitting, storage and more. Mid-HudsonWorks embraces the opportunity to accept this award and honor their commitment to society.

This awards ceremony will take the place of Mid-Hudson Works’ annual open house. They will highlight the importance of their work as a non-profit and how their organization has earned this recognition through their creative programs, partnerships with businesses in the Hudson Valley, and dedication to their mission. ?The awards will additionally give Mid-Hudson Works the opportunity to collaborate and connect with other community organizations, encouraging new partnerships among other Hudson Valley nonprofits. These strong relationships built within the area have been integral to the success of Mid-Hudson Works thus far and will be something they continue to value.

Mid-Hudson Works is a workforce development organization that has been providing training and employment opportunities to underserved veterans and individuals with disabilities since 1948. The organization currently operates North River Roasters, a community-centered coffee roastery, with a mission to create sustainable jobs concentrated on their certified organic and fair-trade coffee, while contributing to the local economy here in the Hudson Valley.?
